Brian Murphy
Brian Murphy’s journey into the sport of billiards began at the age of 15. However, it was attending the US Open 9-Ball Championship in 1987, when Earl Strickland claimed victory, that truly ignited his passion. This moment marked the beginning of a lifelong dedication to the game.
Brian’s mission is to shape the future of billiards by contributing to the development of junior players, elevating the sport’s standards, and inspiring countless players and instructors for generations to come. He continues to compete in Predator touring events, the Lone Star Tour, and many other regional Texas tournaments, as well as major events in Las Vegas.
As a coach, Brian’s primary goal is to teach students “how to learn how to play pool with deliberate practice.” This is achieved through a custom built Personal Mental and Physical Pool Package, which is designed to help players develop purposeful routines and drills for improvement. The program includes detailed video analysis to track progress and refine techniques.
Brian has learned and trained with the best players and instructors in the industry over many years. He has spent many days and hours perfecting his craft of teaching and specializing in Mental skills. He has spent countless hours with some of the top instructors in the world; Jerry Briesath, Randy “Pops” Goettlicher, Mark Wilson, Nick Varner, Tor Lowry, Charlie “Hillbilly” Bryant, Stan Shuffett, Demetrious “TinMan” Jelatis, Tom Rossman and Jeremy Jones
